Answer: No, they are not. Often they are administered incorrectly. Even when they are administrated correctly, they do not necessarily indicate impairment by alcohol. Those are arguments that are often made in court. But you can look at the physical characteristics of the people who are performing the tests, you can look at the way the test is performed and evaluated—you can look at a variety of issues. Even the validation of those tests are suspect and can be challenged.
